We have now to consider what are the effects of Christ's Passion, concerning which there are six points of inquiry:

A1 Whether we were freed from sin by Christ's Passion?

A2 Whether we were thereby delivered from the power of the devil?

A3 Whether we were freed thereby from our debt of punishment?

A4 Whether we were thereby reconciled with God?

A5 Whether heaven's gate was opened to us thereby?

A6 Whether Christ derived exaltation from it?
