Prologue   A[1]   A[2]   A[3]   A[4]   A[5]   A[6]

We have now to consider the efficient cause of Christ's Passion, concerning which there are six points of inquiry:

A[1] Whether Christ was slain by others, or by Himself?

A[2] From what motive did He deliver Himself up to the Passion?

A[3] Whether the Father delivered Him up to suffer?

A[4] Whether it was fitting that He should suffer at the hands of the Gentiles, or rather of the Jews?

A[5] Whether His slayers knew who He was?

A[6] Of the sin of them who slew Christ.
